Alison Duncan Design prepared construction documents for a new green roof for Ballet Tech - The NYC Public School for Dance and home to the American Ballet Theater, in the Flatiron District of Manhattan. This scope of work was prepared for Greensulate, LLC and included the preparation of an existing conditions plan, proposed planting plan, drainage calculations and cross-slopes, site sections and planting details. Planted with a 3" sedum mix of 12 different sedum species, the new extensive green roof was funded as part of NYC DEP's Green Infrastructure Grant Program, an initiative requiring building owners to manage a minimum of 1” of stormwater runoff from the contributing impervious area.
